The inclination towards this sort of hairstyle is subject to quite a few precincts. Other than the afore-mentioned gender issue, it also has a high influence from the age. Teenagers are quite persuaded by this. This has been the case only in the recent times; else Younger were crazy to possess longer ones. A girl going for shorter hairstyles is astonishment itself. As far as kids are considered, bob cut is most liked by the parents. The very short hairstyles in the kids are not necessarily strict gear-up with the trends and fashion; these are simply a result of traditional tendency amongst people regarding the hairstyles in kids that these shall be smaller as possible. Older ones opting for this kind is yet another necessity and requisite because of the hair loss with the rising age, both in males and females. Individuals those affected with extensively busy schedule and could not find time to brush their hair likes them the most. They probably can’t get anything better than this.

Buzz cut and crew cut are perhaps the most preferred hairdos amongst the teenage boys with respect to very short hairstyles. The sides of the head are trimmed to large extent, or rather ‘clipped off’. On the other hand, the top part is left with relatives longer strands of hair. ‘Spikes’ is what this allows. Blonde Hairstyles- How Light Does It Get?

Taylor Momsen Long blode hairstyles 2011Whether it is Doris Day, Marilyn Monroe, Madonna or Annie Lennox, they might be different personalities, but they have one thing in common: blond hair. Long and wavy, half long and curly or super short and spiky, there is a blonde hairstyle for everyone. So very much depending on your mood will you be able to change the coup. But keep one thing in mind: there are hardly any natural blondes in this world, so you will have to get it dyed.

If you have straight, sandy looking hair and you would like to do something different, then think of adding some highlights or blonde streaks. If you are really in for a makeover, then cut it short and dye it. It will be maintenance free for about four to six weeks, but will then have to be redone if you do not want to show your darker side. It might get a little expensive if the hairdresser has to do it for you.

The way to get a blonde hairstyle is dying it with bleach or peroxide. But please be careful, as it will stain. Use an old or white towel so that the stains are not visible. If you do the dying yourself, then make sure that you only dye the roots as too much bleach or peroxide can break the hair if it is overdone. You will notice that your hair feels much drier, so the use of a good conditioner is advisable.

A hairdresser will always warn you when you change over to a blonde hairstyle, particularly when your hair color is dark or red. These colors usually turn out to be more orange or yellow. The hairdresser will either use a silvery wash to lighten it up, but will indicate that it will turn more blonde when dyed more often. When you have short hair, the results will be there quicker, then when the hair is longer. Read the rest of this entry »

Teenage Hairstyles- It’s Now or Never

kristen stewart hairstyles 2011What do you remember of your teenage years? We associated ourselves with the provoking lifestyle of the time and we needed to have branded clothing, and our first experience with serious make-up, but most certainly our hairstyles. Our parents were hopelessly old fashioned. They did not understand us. It does bring a smile on your face. History is repeating with our own teenagers. We are most definitely more modern than our parents, but we still do not allow them to dress indecent or to dye their hair.

One thing is for sure, there are so many interesting teenage hairstyles nowadays that it is much easier to compromise, which will bring smiles on everybody’s face.  Cute pixie cuts with funky bangs, longer hair with curls, brighter hair with colour shampoos, so that when the “in” colour changes, the colour of their hair will as well. For the more conscientious teen, there is the bob and do not be surprise if your son is coming home like a Mohawk.

You should of course be up-to-date with the latest artists and music, so that it will come as a lesser surprise when they want to change their hairstyle. Now, let us take Rihana. She changed overnight from a girly style to a more mature and serene image but cutting her hair short. A short playful teenage coup could be the solution for your girl.

When your kids adore Miley Cirus, then you can expect them to grow their hair or to maintain their long locks. They might ask for a perm to get the same curly hairstyle, but maybe buy them a set of old-fashioned curlers instead and a canister of hairspray to keep it curly for a while. Surely, both mom and daughter will be happy with the result. You are so much better as a mom allowing your kids to have their teenage hairstyles. Read the rest of this entry »

Short Celebrity Hairstyles

celebrity Hayden Panettiere short hairstyles 2011These days, the latest celebrity trend seems to be of short hairstyles as we see more and more celebs emerging on the red carpet in new shorter dos. Although it comes naturally to some people like Halle Berry, it just doesn’t work the same wonders for others like Naomi Campbell. It is popularly believed that short hairstyles are the easiest to maintain but, on the contrary they need more time and maintenance. Short hair requires more frequent trimming and better care to keep your hair in fabulous shape. Many people who choose short hair are now telling their stylists not to cut the hair in same lengths. This gives a very edgy look to the hairstyle.

Another thing that needs to be taken into consideration when adopting a hairstyle is the shape of your face. Short hairstyles are likely to suit round and heart-shaped faces. They would not compliment long or square-shaped faces that much as short hair would make features like an oblong face or a big jaw line more prominent. Celebrities whose signature hairstyles are short are Halle Berry and Victoria Bekham. Short hair completely compliments their face and could look no better. Another celeb who took a drastic step to change her look this year was Rihanna, who substituted her short black graduation bob with an even shorter red hairdo. Whether this look suits her or not is still under debate. Personally, I believe her original brown hair complimented her more.

Graduation Bobs, pixie cuts, along with layered bangs are some of the most popular short celebrity hairstyles. If you have short fine hair, the hair needs to be cut and styled in such a manner that it amps up the volume to give an illusion of more hair. Layered bangs can be a great way to built up the initial volume at the hairline for fine, thin hair.

Like every other type of hair short hairstyles also come with their own challenges. They may look amazing right out of the salon; but hair grows back, and once it has grown a considerable length a bob, pixie, crop or chop would lose its original look. Also, layers that are not managed properly and are not growing out into a short style can be highly troublesome. To avoid this, stylists recommend that a round brush or blow dryer is used to create texture in the hair; this would blend shorter strands of hair with longer ones. Read the rest of this entry »

The bob cut which is running the most popular trend is the angled bob haircut. It is one of the most stylish and elegant haircuts to date. They are classy and add a persona of drama to the wearer’s mood. The hair is cut with a slight angle to the front with even longer hair at the front. Another popular variation to the cut is chin-length hair in the front falling from both sides on the chin. An angled bob adds volume to the front, so the structure of the face should be considered before adding volume to the crown.
