Emo culture has become increasingly acceptable these days; emo hairstyles are much more common among celebrities.  Emo hairstyles are usually associated with black hair no matter what the original color of your hair. Jet black hair with a very bright colored highlight here and there is the epitome of the emo hairstyle.  When it comes to the cut, a blunt asymmetrical look is the favored style.  Emo hairstyles tend to favor those who are adventurous and want to try cutting their hair themselves.
